Current patients: Dr. Greene graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor's degree in biology. He completed medical school at the University of South Florida in Tampa, and completed his residency in general psychiatry at the University of Florida. He went on to complete a fellowship in addiction medicine at University of Florida as well. In 2007, Dr. Greene joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Addiction Medicine. Since then, he has continuously served as the Attending Physician for our 18-bed drug and alcohol detoxification unit at UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital. In 2017, Dr. Greene was promoted to Associate Professor, and in 2021 he became Program Director for the Addiction Medicine Fellowship. He served as President of the Florida Society of Addiction Medicine (2019-2021), and previously been certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He currently holds dual board certifications- in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventive Medicine, and in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
