UF Health Women's Center is pleased to report that our practices will be increasing in-person visits while continuing, in some cases, to offer telehealth visits. It is important to know that we have implemented a number of measures to safeguard the health of our patients, visitors and caregivers. You and your baby’s safety is of the utmost importance to us here at UF Health Women’s Center. That is why all of our offices and labor and delivery units are taking appropriate precautions to ensure mom and baby’s safety amongst COVID-19 concerns. In addition to all of the protective measures we have already been enforcing, we now have designated separate labor/delivery areas for moms who may have come into contact with the virus and a separate area for those who have not. Our desire is to keep all moms and babies as safe and healthy as possible during this time, using the highest level of resources and expertise.

Centering Pregnancy - group prenatal care
UF Health offers a model of group prenatal care to help reduce the risk of premature birth. The UF Health Women’s Center – Medical Plaza has been designated as the first Centering Pregnancy site in North Florida by the Centering Healthcare Institute.
Pregnant women who wish to participate in the Centering Pregnancy model are grouped by their due dates. After a standard visit to their provider, the women join a group during their fourth month of pregnancy and meet monthly for 1.5-hour sessions. During these sessions, the women receive all the components of individual prenatal care. The women and their provider also discuss birth and newborn care as well as overall health and stress management.
Potential participants must select their provider from within the group of approved providers at UF Health Women’s Center and be less than four months pregnant. To participate, call 352.265.8200
At UF Health, we are leaders in providing compassionate patient-centered care that is tailored for the needs of individual women and their pregnancies. Our comprehensive team of clinicians, nurses and staff are highly skilled experts and provide quality care for both the most normal and the most complex of pregnancies.
