Marsha Mott joined the academic health center in 2006 as Health Promotions Coordinator. She oversees and/or participates in community health-awareness events and manages UF Health membership programs including Women’s Advantage and Healthy Advantage, for which she offers regular education seminars and health screenings. She also coordinates the UF Health Speakers Resource Program, providing health experts to talk about health related topics at community events.

After graduating from the University of Florida in 1993 with a degree in sociology, Marsha worked at the Gainesville Correctional Institution substance abuse treatment facility in the counseling and intake department. She then joined Santa Fe College as Director of the Welfare Transition Program, where she helped families on welfare transition into the work environment and achieve self-sufficiency.

Marsha considers herself a Jill of all trades, balancing her unique position at UF Health with caring for three children, two dogs and a husband. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family doing things like hiking, kayaking and watching movies.
