Jesse S. Jones is the Photo Editor and Chief Photographer for the UF Health Creative Services team.
A graduate of the University of North Florida with a bachelor of fine arts degree with a concentration in photography, Jesse is competent in many photographic techniques including both film and digital based imaging.
Experienced in all film formats from 35mm through large format 4×5, alternative processes such as cyanotypes, gum-oil printing, Polaroid lifts and transfers, liquid emulsion and pinhole photography. Along with experience in analog based photographic techniques, Jesse is exceptionally well versed using digital camera systems by both Nikon and Canon, as well as being proficient using digital editing and work flow software including Lightroom, Photoshop, Bridge, Photo Mechanic, Soundslides, Final Cut Pro, Digital Photo Pro and Nikon Capture.
In addition to making extensive use of natural light in his work, Jesse is familiar with a vast variety of studio lighting techniques and equipment including Dynalite, Alien Bees, Calumet, Novatron, Photogenic, Speedotron and Pocket Wizards.
When not using the vast collection of photographic tools at his disposal, Jesse can be found teaching Wing Chun Kung Fu, mountain biking or riding his motorcycle.
