UF Health Children's Healing Garden

Children holding shovels and wearing hard hats in a garden with a bulldozer next to them and adults standing behind them.

Our Children’s Healing Garden is currently under construction, and we cannot wait to add this amazing resource for our patients. Our garden will follow the Nature Explore concept.

This therapeutic garden is designed especially for engaging children while they are hospitalized. Its primary purpose is for use by young inpatients whose care teams have ‘prescribed’ them time here. Please visit our Blueprints site for updates and to learn more.
Thank you to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service and the National Environmental Education Foundation for partnering with UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital on this project. Read more about the collaboration.
