Introducing the experts of metastatic cancer treatment

Fifteen years ago, one doctor shared his belief that the sobering diagnosis of metastatic cancer does not necessarily have to mean a resignation to palliative care. Today, the physicians and staff of the UF Health Metastatic Cancer Program strive to change the definition of “incurable,” by rejecting the notion that patients are untreatable just because a cancer has spread.

This revolutionary mission began with the vision of University of Florida radiation oncologist Dr. Paul Okunieff who has assembled a multidisciplinary team of highest-level experts in the cancer treatment field at UF.
