Biography

Tony S. Wen, MD is the chief of the division of maternal-fetal medicine in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Before joining UF Health, Dr. Wen served as chief of the division of maternal-fetal medicine in the department of obstetrics and gynecology at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry and psychology at University of Wisconsin and his medical degree at Texas Teach University of Texas Health Science Center at Lubbock. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at University of Texas - Houston.

He has been recognized multiple years as “The Best Doctor in America” and “America’s Top Obstetricians & Gynecologists” for providing the quality clinical care in women’s health. Dr. Wen has received numerous teaching awards, including CREOG awards and John P McGovern-Academy of Oslerian Medicine Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award.

He has also participated in sponsored research funded by the National Institutes of Health, Maternal Fetal Medicine Unit Network, Scope and Causes of Stillbirths and Obstetric-Fetal Pharmacology Research Units industry for more than 20 years.

His areas of research focus include perinatal ultrasound, clinical perinatology, infectious diseases and medical education.
