Biography

Satish Chandrashekaran, MD, FACP, is an assistant professor of medicine in the division of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at the UF College of Medicine.

Dr. Chandrashekaran obtained his medical degree from Kurnool Medical College, University of Health Sciences in India. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital, which is affiliated with the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Dr. Chandrashekaran then completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, and a second fellowship in Pulmonary Medicine at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. He also holds a postdoctoral certificate in clinical and translational science from Mayo Clinic.

Dr. Chandrashekaran’s research interests include clinical outcomes in lung transplantation.

He is Board-certified in Internal medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Chandrashekaran’s clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and management of advanced lung diseases. He is proficient in performing critical care ultrasonography and bronchoscopy.
