S D Rampertab, MD

My name is Saraja Devi Rampertab, MD, and I am an associate professor of medicine in the division of gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition, where I specialize in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) with a focus on Celiac disease. I am a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine. I earned my medical degree from Columbia University and completed my internal medicine residency training at North Shore University Hospital/NYU School of Medicine, followed by a gastroenterology fellowship at Columbia University. In 2005, I completed a fourth year advanced gastroenterology fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease.

Before arriving at UF, I held faculty positions as an assistant professor in the division of gastroenterology and hepatology at Penn State College of Medicine and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in addition to assistant professor of medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. While at Rutgers, I served as the program director of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship Program.

I am a fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF) and the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG). I am a member of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America as well as a longstanding member of the ACG Patient Care Committee.
