Purpose

To gain understanding of the immune response to viral pathogens in patients with Parkinson’s disease.

Procedures
One 30-40 minute visit involving:

  • Consent discussion
  • 3-4 tablespoon blood draw
  • Environmental and Family History Questionnaire

One 15 minute visit (2 years later) involving:

  • 3-4 tablespoon blood draw

Eligibility

  • Diagnosis of PD, RBD or Healthy Control
  • Disease Duration less than or equal to 10 years
  • No autoimmune diseases
  • No chronic inflammatory conditions
  • No known genetic mutation in a PD gene
  • Between 50-80 years of age
