Investigation of Microbiota changes in patients with DBS
The purpose of this research study is to determine the effects of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) on gut health in patients with Pakinson’s disease (PD) and without Parkinson's disease (this is the control group). You will be involved in the study for at least 2 years.
Up to four stool samples will be collected from you. You will collect stool samples at home using a stool collection kit. On the day before the stool collection, you will keep a daily food record.
