UF student receives psychology association research award
Erin Neary, a doctoral student in clinical and health psychology at the University of Florida’s College of Health Professions, received the Southeastern Psychological Association’s Special Topics Research Award. Neary will receive a $200 cash award and the opportunity to present her research in a special session at the association’s annual meeting in March.
The Special Topics Research Awards recognize graduate students for outstanding research in topics that have been underrepresented in recent years. Neary’s research qualified for the developmental psychology category. She examined the statistical properties of the Sutter-Eyberg Student Behavior Inventory, a teacher rating scale of disruptive behavior, when used with Head Start preschoolers.
Winning research projects were judged on overall quality, potential importance and innovation.
