Duff-College of Medicine Teach of the Year

Duff has received the College of Medicine’s Clinical Science Teacher of the Year Award for presenting obstetrics lectures to first- and second-year students, holding seminars for third-year students on clinical obstetrics and infections, and teaching seniors how to care for high-risk obstetric patients and use ultrasound. He also spends a significant amount of time working with students one-on-one. This is the third time he has received the award.

Duff received his M.D. from Georgetown University in 1974 and joined the UF faculty as a professor in 1989. He is the residency director for the department of obstetrics and gynecology and the associate dean for student affairs. “To describe my teaching style, I think the words I would use would be ‘low-key,’ ‘non-threatening,’ ‘flexible’ and, hopefully, ‘nurturing,’” Duff said.
