Biography
Matthew C. Washam, MD, MPH is a clinical assistant professor within the Division of Pediatric Infectious Disease at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Dr. Washam obtained his degrees in medicine and public health at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and completed his clinical fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Washam’s research interests include understanding the risk factors for transmission of multi-drug resistant bacteria in children within the hospital environment.
