Biography

Jennifer Yurko is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009 with a concentration in mental health/direct practice with children & families. She has 11 years of experience in the field of mental health. During her time in Pennsylvania she worked in a variety of treatment settings including school-based services, a residential facility, outpatient, and in home family therapy. She worked with a variety of populations including, children, families, and adolescents.

Jennifer moved to Florida in 2017 and soon after started working for UF Health Psychology Specialties. She currently works with the following populations; children, adolescents, families, and adults. Since working at the University of Florida she has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy by Dr. Lisa King. She works among a team of therapists and currently co-facilitates the Adolescent DBT skills group and was previously co-facilitating the Adult DBT skills group.

Jennifer’s clinical interests include anxiety and depressive disorders, PTSD, behavioral/emotional concerns in children and adolescents. Her treatment is primarily focused in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and is often DBT-informed.
