The IT department is comprised of several departments who specialize in technical competencies and customer processes.
Customer Support has teams which provide workstation and device support services, an assets management group that maintains the whereabouts of all software and hardware assets, and a technical support center for training and solving reported problems.
The Applications department provides clinical and administrative software applications implementation support for the hospital and clinic operations.
The Educational Technologies department provides solutions to support UF Health’s instructional missions, including expert assistance with Classroom Support, Instructional Technologies, Faculty Development, IT Training, Videoconferencing, Clinical Applications, SharePoint, myTraining, and Telemedicine.
Finance and Administration
Finance and Administration performs budgeting, cost modeling, financial reporting and human resource process support to the AHC IT department managers and directors.
Systems Development provides research informatics, software engineering and web services.
Technical Services provides network engineering and support, storage strategies and solutions, systems and database administration, and data center management.
Telecommunications (HealthNet) is a service-oriented, customer-driven, fully self funded central provider of network infrastructure, VoIP telephony, and wireless networking.
The Web Services team designs, develops, and manages websites for Shands, the colleges, and other units within the Academic Health Center. Devoted to website design and development, the group brings together designers, programmers, information architects, content curators, social media specialists, and search engine optimization experts to continually improve and expand the Academic Health Center's online presence.
