About me
As an assistant professor in the University of Florida Division of Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation, I desire to make impactful differences in my patients’ lives. My clinical interest is focused on chronic kidney diseases and hypertension. The kidneys play a vital role in the body’s homeostasis in day-to-day living. The underlying mechanisms of kidney function are complex and elusive. It is quite an exciting field and immediately called my name. At UF, we work as a multidisciplinary team within subspecialties to provide comprehensive care needed for our patients.
My training began in India, where I attended Sri Siddhartha Medical College and graduated in 2005. Then, I relocated to the U.S., where I completed my internal medicine residency at Westlake Hospital in Illinois. Finally, I completed my nephrology training here at UF and remained as faculty.
So far as an assistant professor, I have received several Exemplary Teacher and Excellence in Teaching awards from the UF College of Medicine and the UF Division of Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation. I have published several articles in the field of nephrology and am actively involved in clinical research.
When not practicing at UF Health Nephrology, I enjoy traveling around the country and visiting national parks. So far, my favorite parks I have visited are Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park and Zion National Park.
