About me

My name is Frieda Ansoanuur, MD, and I am a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine department of physical medicine and rehabilitation. I earned my medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Following medical school, I completed my residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Subsequently, I completed my fellowship training in pediatric rehabilitation medicine at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. I am a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine.

As a physician, my goal is to help my patients become more functional.

My clinical practice focuses on pediatric rehabilitation and functional issues, including patients with cerebral palsy, tone/spasticity management, adaptive equipment needs, lower and upper extremity bracing, abnormal gait, spina bifida, spinal cord injuries and brain injuries. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
