Description

Following breast cancer treatment, some people develop lymphedema, a chronic condition caused by fluid accumulating in the limbs. Traditional management of lymphedema consists of a combination of manual lymph drainage, compression therapy and bandaging. Managing this chronic condition can be frustrating and painful.

At UF Health, we offer a microsurgical reconstructive procedure called vascularized lymph node transfer, which offers complete or near-complete elimination of lymphedema. During the procedure, healthy lymph nodes are transferred to an area damaged by cancer. In time, these vascularized lymph nodes will grow and allow the lymphatic fluid to drain properly. Learn more at this free luncheon seminar.  The speaker will be Dhruv Singhal, M.D. from UF Health Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics Center

Advanced registration is required.  Please call 352.733.0000 if you have questions
