Description

October 1 marks the beginning of National Bullying Prevention Month, and you can do your part to help local children live safe, healthy and happy lives.

Join us on Friday, Nov. 14 at Haile Plantation Golf & Country Club for the 14th Annual Cadillac Invitational presented by Bosshardt Realty. All proceeds will benefit UF Health Psychiatric Hospital Partners in Adolescent Lifestyle Support program.

PALS provides Gainesvilles troubled adolescents with peer support and therapeutic intervention as well as enhances leadership skills for teen leaders. Peer leaders teach students how to deal with such issues as violence, drug abuse, low self-esteem and diversity. The goal is to create an environment that is inclusive, free of violence and safe. The program is active in all of Gainesvilles public high schools as well as Ft. Clarke Middle School and A. Quinn Jones Center.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. and will include a golf scramble, lunch and a short program in which PALS mentors will share their stories. Entry fee is $150 per person. For more information or to RSVP, click here or contact UF Health Office of Development at 352-265-7237.
