Description

CoolSculpting is a non-surgical fat freezing technology proven to reduce pockets of fat in trouble spots.

Why the procedure is performed

CoolSculpting is performed for non-invasive body contouring and fat reduction.

Risks

Paradoxical hyperplasia, freeze burn, vasovagal symptoms, subcutaneous induration, hyperpigmentation, treatment area demarcation, cold panniculitis.

Before the procedure

A consult with a certified CoolSculpting provider will be done to determine the best treatment plan. Excellent candidates will be within 10-15 lbs. of ideal body weight with good diet and exercise regimens.

After the procedure

Maintain a healthy diet and exercise. The provider may request gentle massage of the treatment area daily for two weeks after the procedure. Results will occur over 16 weeks. Repeat treatment can be done for further fat reduction.

Outlook (Prognosis)

On average, a fat reduction of 20-25% at the treatment site will occur over 12-16 weeks.
