About me
Hello, I'm Clarence McGehee III, an athletic trainer at UF Health. With a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport sciences and a master of arts in health education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to my role. In addition, I am proudly recognized as athletic trainer certified, holding board certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association, and I am a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Florida. I specialize in providing exercise prescriptions for various musculoskeletal and metabolic disorders, promoting the overall well-being of my patients.
My journey into becoming a certified athletic trainer was fueled by my love for athletics. Having played football, baseball and basketball throughout secondary school and football at the collegiate level, I developed a deep connection to the world of sports. When an injury sidelined me from playing football, I was determined to stay involved with athletics and contribute to the healthcare team.
In my current role as both an athletic trainer and the manager of UF Health Fitness and Wellness Center, my goal is to create a warm, welcoming and educational environment. I am dedicated to fostering a space where individuals, regardless of ability or disability, can work towards and achieve their fitness goals.
Outside of my professional life, I have a passion for cooking BBQ, as well as participating in BBQ competitions. I enjoy experimenting with various meats, exploring different styles and employing different methods.
