The first item, apples, is an excellent source of antioxidants. Studies suggest antioxidants may extend lifespans by combating free radicals, oxidized molecules that can damage tissue inside the body.


Some researchers say snacking on almonds is a healthy protein alternative that won’t increase body weight.


A 100-gram serving of broccoli can provide you with more than 150 percent of your daily requirement of vitamin C.


This fruit has been linked to curbing cognitive decline, fighting obesity and reducing high blood pressure risk.


Oily fish like salmon are known for their omega-3 fatty acids, which benefit the heart and nervous system.

Leafy Greens

Next are leafy green vegetables, such as spinach. They are rich in antioxidants, especially when consumed raw.

Sweet Potatoes

They have tons of dietary fiber, beta carotene, complex carbs, vitamin C and vitamin B6.

Wheat Germ
