Animal Health

Located at the main campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, the Veterinary Hospitals are composed of the Small Animal Hospital and the Large Animal Hospital.

Each year the Small Animal Hospital treats more than 16,000 dogs, cats and other small animal domestic and wildlife species. In the Large Animal Hospital, approximately 4,000 horses are treated annually. More than 1,000 farm animals, such as beef and dairy cattle, are seen and treated in their home farm environments by veterinarians associated with the Large Animal Hospital’s Food Animal Reproduction and Medicine Service (FARMS).
