Vascular Neurologist (Brain Blood Vessel Specialist)
Amita Singh, MD, MS is an assistant professor and the department Physician Director of Quality for the department of neurology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
She earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in psychology and another physiology and neurobiology, from the University of Maryland. Then, she went on to achieve a master’s degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and her medical degree from the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. After graduation, she pursued her neurology residency and vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she was the chief resident in neurology.
Dr. Singh is board-certified in neurology and vascular neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and she is currently licensed to practice medicine in Florida. In addition to contributing to various publications, Dr. Singh has also facilitated numerous quality improvement projects. She is passionate about medical education and clinical quality improvement in neurology. Her clinical interests include secondary stroke prevention and patient education.
