About me
Amanda Husband, APRN, CNM, is a nurse midwife specializing in obstetrics and gynecology at UF Health.
She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Central Florida before graduating from the University of Florida with her master’s degree in nurse midwifery. She began her career at UF Health as a high-risk OB nurse in 2006 and worked in Labor and Delivery while pursuing her degree in midwifery. She has practiced in a variety of settings from out of hospital to high-risk care and loves providing the full spectrum of midwifery care, including routine wellness care, pregnancy care, postpartum care, contraceptive care and attending family births. Being a partner in her patients’ care is her greatest joy — empowering and educating women and families through all stages of their journey.
Amanda is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives and is board-certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
